Gratitude: 75 Years of Dainik Jagran

Dainik Jagran is a leading national daily newspaper in Hindi and recently has completed 75 years of its existence. Launched in 1942 during Indian Freedom Struggle to voice nationalistic sentiments, this newspaper has become the largest read newspaper in all these years.

It has grown with Indian democracy and has raised voice against all pressing issues for the betterment of the society. The newspaper is largely circulated in – Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttrakhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Haryana, J&K (Jammu) and Mumbai.

I still remember, as a child how my father used to read out headlines from Dainik Jagran to make us understand the ongoing issues in the society. I’ve grown up reading their text and have seen them covering all the aspects that are around us, be it Education, environment conservation, employment opportunities or Health related awareness.

Really impressed by this video which has accorded the efforts of the newspaper. Please click here to view it.I believe, it is the identity of social conscience. Dainik Jagran’s national daily publications; the Hindi newspaper has been consistent in spreading significant issues for the empowerment and betterment of the nation.

“Sirf khabro ki padhtal nahi, Dainik Jagran hai; 75 saalo se Hai Samajik Sarokar ki Mashaal”.

Dainik Jagran’s broadcast consciousness regarding ‘Pariyavaran Sanrakshan’ (Conservation of the environment), was a major success.

They highlighted environmental conservation related issues primarily at first place. The message that they aim everyone to imbibe is that we won’t have a society if we destroy the environment. Being a loyal reader, I can endorse that they’ve been altogether consistent in publishing topics, awareness, reports, debates, news and all important topics related to environmental conservation.

This article is a kind gesture towards the initiative that was taken 75 years back. More power to them for identifying social evils, spreading awareness and giving methods to resolve them. Thanks for being the people’s voice.
